About This Course

Data science, also known as data-driven science, is an interdisciplinary field about scientific methods, processes and systems to extract knowledge or insights from data in various forms, either structured or unstructured, similar to Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD).

What you would be learning

The Introduction to Data Science class will survey the foundational topics in data science, namely:

  • - Data Manipulation
  • - Data Analysis with Statistics and Machine Learning
  • - Data Communication with Information Visualization
  • - Data at Scale -- Working with Big Data

Knowledge Required

Basic English + Some knowledge of programming and programming languages.
