Accommodation, Lagos Mainland.

Hotel reservations in Maryland and Ikeja would be made for participants living outside Lagos (available for those who make payments for this option). Air-conditioned buses will convey these participants to and from the Conference venue (based on availability).

A report by the British Council states that currently, 63 million people in sub-saharan Africa are unemployed because they lack the relevant industry skills and experience needed by companies and organizations.

23% of Graduates in Africa Will be Unemployed By 2020

Also from the British Council, every year, at least 11 million students will graduate from tertiary institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa. 23% of these graduates won't get jobs because they lack the industry skills required by employers.

A survey carried out by the World Bank discovered that 7 in 10 startups fail within two years of operation because they can not afford or do not have access to professional and adequate staffing

The Slatecube Up-Skill Conference is a 3 Day International Skill Development Conference that promotes knowledge-sharing between students/job seekers and Leading Local and International Companies designed to help them develop cutting edge industry-relevant skills.

Our 5 Year Vision - Short-term Goal

In the next 5 years, We are looking to help over 20 million job seekers across sub-saharan Africa develop the required skills to land well-paying jobs or start very profitable businesses while also helping 5000 startups scale fast by utilizing and recruiting highly skilled professionals at little or no costs. This requires over 2000 individual Up-Skill Conferences and Entrepreneurship Bootcamps across various countries in Africa designed and customized to effectively help both job seekers and prospective entrepreneurs.
